1.  Other activities of a dangerous nature

1.1  Launching a weather balloon
1.1.1 National Agency for Meteorology and Environment Monitoring is launching weather observation balloons in regular hours a daily basis for the purpose of observation of meteorological elements in the upper layer of atmosphere.
1.1.2 The balloons are filled with hydrogen and carry suspended radiosonde equipment. In average, observations last for 100-120min and the direction of release and location where it burst depend on the weather conditions of the launch day.
  • Weight of balloons: 500-750gr

  • Weight of radiosonde equipment: 130gr

  • Rate of climb: 280-550m/min (in the direction of the wind)

  • Travel distance: 100-200km
