1.  Introduction

1.1  General
1.1.1 It is essential that persons engaged in civil aviation be acquainted with all relevant legislation pertaining to civil aviation law in Mongolia.
1.1.2 All references to statutes, regulations and orders include any amendments that have been made to them.

2.  Principal civil aviation legislation

2.1  Civil aviation law
2.1.1 The principal aviation legislation in Mongolia is the Civil Aviation Law 1999, which is available on the CAA and AIS division website.

2.2  Civil aviation rules
2.2.1 Civil Aviation Law 1999 empowers the minister of Road and Transport Development to make rules, and the director of Civil Aviation to make emergency safety order, to implement Mongolian ICAO obligations, and maintain a safe and efficient civil aviation system in Mongolia.
2.2.2 The Civil Aviation Rules are available on the CAA and AIS division website.
